This December, we are teaming up with USA Luge to forge and ground breaking new partnership to bring fans together around televised World Cup Luge events. 

 

The goal of the partnership is simple: To support USA Luge athletes and programs, while creating enthusiasm around the team’s races this fall.

 

With NBC Sports Network televising all three North American World Cup events, USA Luge and Yotme are seeking luge fans and winter sports fanatics to host and attend themed Apres Ski “Watch Parties” at their homes or other venues. 

 

To get involved, hosts will invite friends and family, and charge them a nominal ticket fee, typically $10 or $20, via the Yotme platform.  Those proceeds are channeled directly to USA Luge who manage the funds to support their athletes and programs. 

 

Setting up a USA Luge “Watch Party” is easy and effective thanks to our simple “Micro Benefit Strategy”, whereby many people can get together around a shared occasion, in multiple locations, and all give a little bit, to make a big difference.

 

Using Yotme, a host can cover the cost of the event by deducting proceeds for expenses, (if desired), but more often than not, Yotme Watch Parties see everyone pitching in together by bringing a dish and a beverage in more of community ‘potluck’ affair.

  • Whistler World Cup: December 2, 7:00-9:00 PM ET
  • Calgary World Cup: December 9, 8:00 – 10:00 PM ET
  • Lake Placid World Cup: December 16, 4:00 – 6:00 PM ET

 

The theme for this years events is #AllDayApres. Basically this is a great excuse to get dressed up in your ski slope finery, party with friends and support a great cause. So whether your are sweltering in San Diego or snug in Scituate, you can do your bit to support Team USA while having fun with your friends.

 

The partnership between Yotme and USA Luge follows our announcement earlier this year of the launch of our pioneering new “IPO” (Initial Philanthropic Offering) with the Boston Foundation, in which we pledged up 10% of the company, to nonprofit organizations that partner with Yotme during our initial rollout. 

 

The launch of Yotme and the IPO was heralded as great news for 501(c)3 charities, such as the USA Luge, who get access to its invite, event marketing, ticketing, and Social Relationship Management (SRM) platform for free.
